defines the true role of having a team.When a group of people with
common goals do collective work and are mutually committed to a common
team purpose and challenging goals with a sense of unity and enthusiasm.
This certainly increase your accountability and significance in a
society which would have been difficult without existence of teams.
Misconceptions
lead us nowhere therefore here I am dispatching a misconception of
perceiving a group as same as a team.A herd of a sheep is not a team and
in the same way simply a crowd of people is not a team.Teams are more
productive and innovative than mere work groups.In a group people with
Identities as “I” work but in a team all people work with same identity
i.e “WE”.In this manner a team trumps a group as “WE”trumps “I”. Teams
inculcates feeling of strong mutual commitment among their teammates
which creates compelling social and emotional bonds which clearly
depicts that each and every member of a team get the same
feeling-”जियेंगे भी साथ और मरेंगे भी साथ “

The
portentousness of teams will be retained only when it will do that what
it is supposed to do and till when they do not depart from their values
on which their existence is fabricated.Time to remove vagueness and get
to the valuable point .A team should attain the distinction between it
and a group because if a team starts performing like a group then there
is no point of making a team. Great Teams should be build and they
should be great in each and every aspect whether it’s about achieving
goals with common purpose , having mutual understanding and
coordination between it’s members or performing any social duty and
responsibility.Building great teams shall certainly lead an organization
to it’s goals and commitments.Giving space to great teams in it’s
system an organization will certainly pave a golden path for it and it’s
members.A great team aids an organization by providing all its
machineries clear and compelling goals,it increases the output of
services provided by members and it maximizes strength and reduces
weakness.
To
clearly depict the importance of a great team I would like to take your
attention towards a cinematographic example that we usually watch in
wild sciences channels-It is a matter of fact that animals move in teams
to keep themselves safe from their predators.Lets understand this with a
real life hustle between wildebeests and crocodiles.When wildebeests
cross a river as per a team then their predator(crocodiles) get nothing
but a sense of loss
but when a single wildebeest try to cross the river it certainly digs its own grave.
Rest
all goes into vain when it is not properly organized and
functioned.After all the promising reflection of a great team now comes
the formation point it.Just think if something is having so many
positive aspects and capabilities of doing wonders then its not going to
be an easy cup of cake.To be build a great team it requires great
perseverance, good intentions and motives,analytical and logical
thinking, feelings and emotions,good understanding level of member’s
feelings and situations and the most important points are belongingness
and coordination among team members.Apart from these most crucial things
there are some other valuable points which we should inculcate in our
minds:
A)GOALS-First
and most important a team is going to form only when all members have
common goals with same purpose.Imagining a team without common goals and
purposes its like imagining a earthquake without its epicenter.
B)ROLES-Every
team member should be assigned with proper and suitable roles.This is
going to inculcate a sense of responsibility and accountability among
members and make them work harder with a proper sense of commitment
C)EVERY MEMBER IS IMPORTANT-Like
our country I believe that each and every small and big
institutions/organization should espouse democracy where there is going
to someone as a leader but chosen by its members.Every member should
have full freedom to discuss and full autonomy to raise his/her point in
any matter related to the team’s functions and its objectives.
D)REPRESENTATION IN THE FORM OF A LEADER-I
firmly believe that every great team is ineffective without a
representative or a leader.There should be someone who will represent
and lead all the members.
In
ancient Greek cities when there were no leaders and all decisions were
taken by people in a senate it used to end into ciaos as 100 people
would have 100 views and every person used to think that his/her view is
right.So to eradicate this ciaos the role of leader came into
existence.
E)FEEDBACK AND GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL MECHANISM:
Most
of the teams do not perceive the importance of feedback process which
certainly demolishes their established edifice.Feedback helps in knowing
the different views and opinions of team members which inculcate a
feeling of importance in themselves.
Grievance Redressal mechanism should be there to resolve every
grievance that can hinder the progress of the team and it will help in
crafting a stronger relation and proper understanding within the team.
At
last I want to conclude that if teamwork of ANTS can become the most
important factor for their living then I can assure you that great teams
in every organization will convert this nation into a large great team
in which all members will be giving their best to uplift their nation.
